Parent of the year won’t go to anyone in this family after way they treated pub
Another pub landlord has fallen victim to a family who ate a £260 lunch – with steak and 10 pints of Stella Artois – and ran off without paying.
The Britannia Inn in Cornwall is now hundreds of pounds out of pocket after the family left on Saturday as their waitress’ back was turned.
Only days ago, another UK eatery shamed a party of seven after they racked up a bill worth nearly £500 – and left without paying.
The staggering receipt saw the diners buy four lobster Thermidors, worth £216 in total, as well as steak and skate for nearly £60.
Taking to Facebook, Stubbs said: ‘Please come back and pay your bill! We are a private restaurant and will not survive with you doing this to us.’
On the south coast however, the greedy diners ordered a £17.50 lasagne and £25 rump steak, 10 pints of Stella Artois lager costing £5.90 each, and four pints of Madri lager at £6.20 each, as well as kids meals of sausage and chips, penne pasta and chicken nuggets.
The pub posted photos of the family online after asking for further information, saying: ‘Please share far and wide to catch these people and warn other hospitality traders.
‘These 12 people dined with us between 2-4pm today (Saturday) and walked out without paying. No mistake, calculated and proven by full camera coverage.
‘We have reported this to the police, however if anyone recognises any of these people or has any information that would lead us to finding them, please please get in contact with us. It will remain confidential.’
The pub has since discovered the identities of the group, but warned that if the scammers don’t come forward by Friday, they will share the names with police and on social media.
A staff member told the Mail Online: ‘It was clearly planned, they watched and waited for our staff to exit the room for 45 seconds before all running out the door. When the waitress came back they were all gone.
‘They looked as if they were taking kids to the play area in the garden but they just left.’
