Does cross dressing mean I’m a transwoman?
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE a burning desire to dress in women’s clothes – and it has made me unsure whether I’m male or female.
I’m a six-foot-tall builder, but when I took gender quizzes online, the results suggested I was more like a woman than a man. I’m so confused.
I’m 45 and divorced. I have secretly always liked looking at female clothing, and imagining myself in it.
I can spend hours searching for pretty dresses and skirts and make-up online.
But I have never actually bought any of them or worn them because I’m scared of what people might think or say.
When I was married, I would sometimes borrow my wife’s underwear when she went out. I just liked the way it felt.
Lately, the urge to wear women’s clothes has grown much stronger.
Does this mean I’m really a woman?

Many men enjoy crossdressing, even if they are not trans. Some find it sexually stimulating or like the experience.
There’s nothing wrong with doing this. Some shops specifically cater to men who want dresses or high heels.
Don’t take too much heed of an internet quiz. Answering a few non-scientific questions can’t tell you your gender.
