Hurricanes land massive junior college offensive lineman Markel Bell
Miami coach Mario Cristobal landed another offensive lineman for his 2024 class on Friday night.
Markel Bell, a junior college offensive lineman out of Holmes Community College in Mississippi, committed to the Hurricanes, announcing his decision on social media.
The standout lineman picked Miami over offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among others.
Bell, who is listed at 6-8.5 and 340 pounds, is the top-rated junior college offensive tackle, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 5 junior college prospect.
Bell, a Cleveland, Mississippi native, is the fifth offensive lineman in Miami’s 2024 class (including high school prospects), joining Kavion Broussard, Nino Francavilla, Juan Minaya and Deryc Plazz.
