Police have registered a murder case in connection with the death of a postgraduate student at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science in Ranchi. The student's father has expressed suspicions over the manner of his son's death and demanded a police investigation. The police have assured the father that they are investigating the case from all angles and are awaiting autopsy and forensic science laboratory reports. The student's burnt body was found at the back of his hostel. The autopsy was carried out in the presence of a magistrate and was video-graphed.
