I wear just a sports bra to the gym but it creates the most embarrassing issue – it’s humiliating when I do crunches
A WINDY wardrobe has caused maximum embarrassment for a fashionable gym fan.
She pointed the finger of blame squarely at her sports bra.
It failed on every front at the gym because of its tendency to make unwanted noises when she was doing her crunches.
Anna Partlow (@annapartlow), who has 93,000 followers, described the experience as plain “humiliating.”
Her pain was obvious in her post, and at one point she covered her face in despair.
“The most embarrassing part of wearing just a sports bra to the gym,” she said.
Anna wore yellow leggings, a matching sports bra, and headphones.
Her misadventure occurred when she was lying on her back lifting weights from behind her head.
As she brought it forward, her waist came into contact with the gym mat, creating a suction sound that was very fart-like.
Fellow gymgoers may have mistaken it for a case of flatulence.
“The back farts against the yoga mat,” she said.
But she did try and salvage the situation, writing: “I stayed, shoving a sweatshirt under there trying to hide it.”
She will not be the first or the last to experience such cringe-worthy events.
It happened to Katy Perry when she was a judge on American Idol in 2021.
She wore a latex dress that made unfortunate suction noises when she moved and was accused of farting.
But it was just a wardrobe malfunction, the pop singer insisted, and nothing else.
Commenters felt for Anna’s awkward encounter.
One person said: “This alone would be enough to make me go home and change and then switch gyms.”
But this person was impressed she could do the movement at all: “My back doesn’t even lift off the mat to even be able to do that.”
