"What happened on October 7th was a catastrophe, it was a war crime," says New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof. "The response in Israel's interest, and morally, is not to engage in war crimes to repay war crimes. And Israel has every right to go after Hamas, but right now what we've been seeing in Gaza is entire blocks being leveled in a way that is not surgical at all."
