Insiders Claim Julia Roberts’ Shocking Real Estate Move Has Everything to Do With Her Marriage

Over the years, Julia Roberts has remained one of the most private celebrities in Hollywood, and rarely ever updates fans on her private life. While we’ve gotten snippets over the years, she’s mainly been tight-lipped about it all, especially when it comes to her over 20-year marriage to Danny Moder.
Now, if you’re a diehard fan of the Pretty Woman star, then chances are that you saw she and Moder sold their 1907 San Francisco mansion last month for $11.75 million rather unexpectedly. Despite the pair owning multiple homes together across the United States, this one was theirs for some time and friends said she was so giddy over the home. However, insiders also claim Roberts and Moder allegedly sold off the home to save their marriage.
“Julia was passionate about renovating the house and moving the family there,” the insider told Closer Weekly. “Buying the San Francisco house was all Julia’s idea,” says the insider. “She overruled Danny’s objections and ran with it.”
However, the insider went on to say Moder wasn’t happy about it, and it allegedly caused a major strain between them. They said, “Danny wanted to move back to Malibu, where he’s got the beach at his doorstep for surfing and his industry friends who give him work. And he was going to go whether Julia came with him or not.”
“Julia can be forceful sometimes, and yes, her career is important to her, but she loves Danny more,” the insider concluded. “Marriage is about give-and-take, and she doesn’t want this marriage to fail.”
And we’re sure it won’t! The two met in 2000 while on the set of The Mexican, and later wed in the summer of 2002. They later welcomed three children: twins Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia, 18, and another son named Henry Daniel, 16.
