Uber has written to the Delhi lieutenant governor and the transport department, requesting a reconsideration of the decision to ban non-DL-licensed cabs during the odd-even rule. The company argues that this ban will lead to a "mobility lockdown" for citizens who need to access critical infrastructure. Uber also claims that banning cabs would be impractical and is seeking time for a discussion. The Delhi government recently announced a ban on app-based cabs not registered in the capital.
