Four-star Jaiden Glover signs with St. John’s
Consensus four-star recruit Jaiden Glover has signed a National Letter of Intent with St. John’s to play under Hall of Fame Coach Rick Pitino next season.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound forward from Brooklyn currently ranks 57th overall and 18th at his position in the Class of 2024 according to On3.com’s industry rankings.
“We are big believers in size and shooting ability with backcourt players,” said Pitino in a release. “Jaiden is an outstanding perimeter shooter and a terrific athlete with excellent size.”
The highly-touted prospect enters his second season with The Patrick School in Hillside, N.J., playing under Head Coach Chris Chavannes. Glover averaged 14.5 points last season in nine appearances for The Patrick School. He scored 19 or more points in four of his outings during the 2022-23 season.
Glover, who had previously played one season at Roselle Catholic alongside current Red Storm guard Simeon Wilcher, squared off with his former team on Dec. 29, 2022, tallying 19 points and seven boards. He followed that performance with a season-best 27 points, going 8-of-8 from the line and hitting a trio of 3-pointers in the team’s 65-55 victory over Mount Carmel (Md.) on Jan. 21, 2023.
Glover has been invited to top basketball camps over the summer, spending time at the Pangos All-American and earning a spot in the “Top 60” Cream of the Crop Game. Glover also attended the National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp and finished top-10 in scoring with 14.5 points per game at the midway point.
On the AAU Circuit, Glover played for the New York Jayhawks, the same team that current Red Storm forward Chris Ledlum competed for during his high school career. This past summer, Glover earned MVP Honors at the Empire Invitational after scoring 22 points in the championship game.
In his lone season as a sophomore at Roselle Catholic alongside Wilcher, Glover averaged 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
