Street Soccer Session – QP Academy Under 13s
The Queen’s Park Academy Under-13s will be performing a ‘Street Soccer’ session within Hampden Park this Saturday ahead of kick-off in the cinch Championship game against Raith Rovers.
The Under-13 squad will show what ‘Street Soccer’ is all about on the trackside behind the goal at the West Stand from when the turnstiles open at 1.45pm to 2.30pm.
Academy squads try to play ‘Street Soccer’ once per week and, thanks to the generosity of Cartha Queen’s Park Rugby Club, it is usually played on a concrete area within their facility near Lochinch.
‘Street Soccer’ provides a different learning environment for the boys, promotes creativity and allows them to express themselves without any fear of failure.
It also replicates traditional times when children played most of their football in the street and developed their skills in a testing environment.
If you arrive before 2.30pm we hope you enjoy watching the boys having fun whilst developing their skills in the National Stadium.
