Nike Is Bringing Back the ACG Torre Hiking Boot for the First Time Since 1995

Nike ACG is digging into its archives for a hiking boot that hasn’t seen the light in nearly 30 years.

The ACG Torre Mid, which launched in 1995, is being reissued for the very first time with two colorways arriving in December. The retro waterproof hiker sits shaggy suede overlays atop a mesh base with a very ’90s heel pull pattern. Down low is a hefty treaded outsole to keep you upright on the trail or through slippery conditions in the city.

The two colorways ushering in the ACG Torre Mid’s return feature slightly different shades of brown for its suede overlays, but the more noticeable differences arrive through the underlays and branding. The “Pecan” pair opts for an “Olive Grey” base along with pink forming the ACG mark near the lateral heel, the tongue’s embroidered Nike logo, and the heel pull’s pattern. “Burnt Sienna” then provides more contrast with an “Obsidian” base and teal branding.

December is proving to be a fruitful month for Nike boots, as the Swoosh is also partnering with Sacai for a sneaker-boot hybrid that pulls elements from the Air Magma and Air Footscape. That pair, also launching with two colorways, brings more of an oddball element, whereas the ACG Torre is a classic hiking silhouette made within the retro design language that ACG heads love.

Both versions of the Nike ACG Torre Mid are slated to release Dec. 5 through the SNKRS app and select additional retailers. Pricing is set at $150.
