I’ve been without heat or power for 14 hours and it’s 0 degrees out, I have a free ‘stay warm’ hack people don’t know
A BEAUTY guru has revealed her tip for staying warm for free when freezing temperatures hit.
Her heating hack came in handy after going 14 hours without power.
TikToker Victoria Jameson (@victoria), a makeup artist from Texas, created a video after she found a quick solution to her problem.
“Did you know you can stuff grocery bags run your doors to keep the heat in?” she wrote in her post.
“In Texas, we have been without heat or power for 14 hours,” she continued. “It’s 7 degrees and will drop below 0 overnight. Stay warm.”
In the comments section of her post, Victoria claimed there were over a million people without power in Texas.
“It’s a widespread outage,” she said. “And now the water is being shut off. Definitely was not prepared for this.”
Some people in the comments section said Victoria could have placed towels in between the cracks.
She covered so many windows in the home with towels that there wasn’t anything left for the drafts coming through the door.
The TikToker posted the warming hack after a deadly storm hit Texas in February 2021.
More than 200 people died, and millions went without power for days, KXAS reported in 2022.
Most of the people who perished died from hypothermia, the outlet said.
However, 19 people died from carbon monoxide poisoning,
They used unsafe methods to heat their homes during the incident, KXAS suggested.
Other ways to heat your home include placing bubble wrap on windows.
