Bears injury report: C Lucas Patrick back at practice

Bears center Lucas Patrick was a full participant at Friday’s practice and appears to be line to play Monday night against the Vikings. Patrick hurt his back Sunday when he was hit by a Lions player while chasing the ball-carrier on a play the Lions believed was a fumble. It was not.
Running back D’Onta Foreman was limited Friday because of the same ankle and shin injury that hobbled him against the Panthers and kept him from playing most of the second half against the Lions.
Swing tackle Larry Borom remained out with an illness. Tight end Marcedes Lewis had a veteran day off.
Rookie linebacker Noah Sewell, who hurt his knee in practice last week and is considered week-to-week, missed practice.
Jefferson limited
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson reiterated what he said last time the Bears played the Vikings — that, as a competitor, he would rather be matched up against receiver Justin Jefferson.
“For sure,” he said.
The Vikings star is practicing — he was limited for the second-straight day — but still on injured reserve. He could return Monday — or wait two more weeks to come back from a hamstring injury. The Vikings and Bears both have a bye next week.
Rookie receiver Jordan Addison’s “craftiness,” ability to start and stop and run precise routes stands out to Johnson, who’s watched him since he played at Pitt and USC. The Bears held him to three catches for 28 yards last month.
This and that
• Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson (ribs) and cornerback Akayleb Evans (calf) remained limited in practice.
• The Packers’ 29-22 win against the Lions means Green Bay has scored one more point than the Bears. With all four NFC North teams having played 11 games this season, the Bears rank last with 230 points scored and 286 points allowed.
• The Bears considered kicking off without a tee after allowing a safety late in Sunday’s game before deciding to punt an onside kick, special teams coordinator Richard Hightower said. Kicking off with a tee is illegal after a safety.
