Police say a female tourist from Boston has been killed by a shark while paddleboarding in the Bahamas, police told reporters. Police Sgt. Desiree Ferguson said the unidentified victim was attacked Monday less than a mile off the western end of New Providence island where the capital of Nassau is located. Police said she was paddleboarding with a man who was not injured. Police said the woman suffered serious injuries to the right side of her body and was declared dead at the scene despite CPR efforts. It was not immediately clear what type of shark attacked the woman.
