Not All Impeachments Are Created Equal
Leigh McGowan, aka Politics Girl, gives a primer on impeachments and their history in our country.
She points out that there have been only three impeachments of a sitting president in the history of our nation. One was for Bill Clinton lying about getting oral sex, which is hard to believe was ever considered to be a high crime. The other two impeachments belong to TFG. Richard Nixon would have been a fourth impeachment, but he resigned before it got that far.
McGowan also stated that one should be able to explain the reason for impeachment in 30 seconds and should include hard evidence. Stating that we have evidence of Clinton lying. We have evidence of Trump trying to extort a foreign ally to smear a political opponent. We have video evidence of Trump inciting the January 6 insurrection.
The current Biden "inquiry" is based on nonexistent evidence, but they are pursuing it on the basis of guilty until proven innocent. In other words, it's basically just an effort to smear Biden in order to take the light off of Trump, so he can regain power.
Small wonder that they'd rather discuss this on Newsmax than in an official setting.
