Especially at Christmas time, Baltimore must do more for homeless | READER COMMENTARY
I had the privilege recently of attending the Baltimore Choral Arts Christmas concert at the Basilica with its extravagant ornamentation. It was a splendid concert and reminded me of the rich cultural city that Baltimore is.
However, as we left the church we met a number of homeless people sleeping on our streets. What kind of a city does not take care of its people? What kind of a country are we (“Head of Baltimore Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services is out, to be replaced by Ernestina Simmons,” Sept. 28)?
