Mesut Ozil shows off incredible body transformation as stunned fans call on ripped ex-Arsenal ace to end retirement
MESUT OZIL has undergone an incredible body transformation thanks to his hard work in the gym.
The former Arsenal star has been working out under the guidance of personal trainer Alper Aksac.
While he boasted a six-pack during his playing days, Ozil was always rather scrawny and one of his biggest weaknesses was his physicality.
Since retiring earlier this year the former Germany international has been a regular at the gym – and he has bulked up as a result.
Ozil’s trainer has shared several clips of him hard at work, with the 35-year-old going through a range of exercises from push-ups to bicep curls.
The former midfielder flexed his biceps on a cable machine and curled dumbells to increase his muscles.
In another Instagram post Ozil flashed his six-pack as he beamed at the camera.
Fans were impressed with his transformation and suggested he ought to come out of retirement.
One said: “Bro needs to come out of retirement play for like three or four more years.”
Another added: “Ozil start playing football again”
A third wrote: “Brother is gathering strength to come back strong to Fener. It will be a bit like before. Later he will come back to Fener again.”
