Authorities raid CT spa; New York woman faces promoting prostitution charge
Police have arrested a New York woman in connection with an operation that cracked down on alleged prostitution at a Connecticut spa.
The Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division on Monday raided the Healthy Spa, located at 99 New Canaan Ave., upon receiving numerous complaints of alleged prostitution there, according to police.
Authorities arrested one person after carrying out a search and seizure warrant at the spa.
HongMin Wang, 58, of Flushing, New York is charged with prostituting persons 16 and over, second-degree promoting prostitution and permitting prostitution, police said. She was freed on $2,500 bond and is expected to face a judge at Superior Court on Jan. 3.
