Rainy and southerly
Hello Friends,
It was a good morning to be inside. As of 0830 it was raining lightly but steadily along the northern beaches. The wind swung to the south yesterday evening and it’s been blowing 20-30 kts since then. The Bureau tells us it’ll dial back a bit late this afternoon, but only a little and it’s going to keep this nonsense up through Friday. Swell at sea was registering 2.3 metres at 7 seconds. It was coming mainly from the SSW (ie going away from us), but there was a small ENE component in the mix too. Not that it matters to most of us given the dire weather conditions, but if you did go down to the beach you’d be struggling to find anything above the waist high mark.
From the look of the swell models, we might see a metre or so of 8-9 sec east wind swell from Sunday onward. Winds are looking generally light-ish and NE at that point.
Have a top old day everyone!
