'This is an impeachable offense': Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks House GOPers nailed Biden
Hunter Biden's congressional deposition no-show is causing the GOP's impeachment of his president father to expand and has Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) demanding he be put to the political fire.
'This is an impeachable offense," Greene wrote in a post in which she quotes an announcement from House Republican leadership.
"[James Comer and Jim Jordan] are investigating whether President Biden sought to influence or obstruct his son's cooperation with the House’s impeachment inquiry," the House GOP post says. "Such conduct could constitute an impeachable offense."
The aforementioned letter was submitted to White House Counsel Edward Siskel on Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. James Comer (R-OH), and suggested Biden committed obstruction to his son's scheduled deposition, which was scuttled over a dispute about the venue.
It demanded the White House Counsel produce "[a]ll documents and communications sent or received by employees of the Executive Office of the President regarding the deposition of Hunter Biden."

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability's Republican leaders expressed feeling shafted when rather than appearing on Dec. 13 before them to face questions from lawmakers under oath — Hunter chose to speak to a gaggle of reporters.
"The Committees specifically notified Mr. [Hunter] Biden, via his attorney, that his failure to appear for the deposition as required by the subpoenas would lead to the Committees initiating contempt of Congress proceedings," the letter states. "Mr. Biden indicated that he would not appear for the deposition as required by the subpoenas and that he would only testify in a public forum."
The letter suggests spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre weighed in at the time claiming the president was "familiar with what his son was going to say," the letter notes.
"Ms. Jean-Pierre's statement suggests that the President had some amount of advanced knowledge that Mr. Biden would choose to defy two congressional subpoenas," Jordan and Comer noted.
