Sensex, Nifty updates on 28 December 2023: Sensex rose by 371.95 points (0.52%) to 72,410.38 and Nifty gained 123.90 points (0.57%) at 21,778.70. Among Nifty’s top gainers were Coal India, NTPC, M&M, Dr. Reddy’s Lab, and Hero MotoCorp, while losers included Adani Enterprises and Eicher Motors. Except for Information Technology, all sectoral indices closed higher, with FMCG, realty, oil & gas, power, and metal up 1-2%. The BSE Midcap index increased by 0.66%, and the smallcap index rose by 0.2%.
