My former ‘situationship’ has a new girlfriend – now I feel I have no closure
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE been left feeling completely used since my “situationship” ended.
We’ve been back and forth for years and looking back I can now see he has taken me for a complete fool.
I’m 26, he’s 28 and we met three years ago through mutual friends.
We had a very intense sexual connection and ended up dating for six months until he ended things.
Since then we’ve remained great friends but have continued to sleep together despite breaking up.
I’ve been far more emotionally invested but I think part of me believed he would eventually wake up and realise what he had in front of him.

That was until a month ago, when he completely disappeared and I found out through social media he had a new girlfriend.
I’m so hurt and can’t believe he has done this to me.
He didn’t even offer me any closure. How can I ever move on from this?
DEIDRE SAYS: One thing’s for certain – you deserve more than someone who isn’t able to commit.
Try not to beat yourself up about your actions. It’s clear you really cared for him and he took advantage of that.
Instead of holding on to the past, try to focus on the fact you are now free of him and able to open yourself up fully to the chance of meeting someone who is 100 per cent sure of you.
