Work to remove plane wreckage from runway begins at Japan's Haneda Airport
TOKYO, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Workers at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Friday began clearing the burnt wreckage of a Japan Airlines (JAL) passenger jet from a runway, three days after the aircraft collided with a coast guard plane there.
The JAL aircraft collided with a Japan Coast Guard plane on Runway C while landing on Tuesday, with both aircraft catching fire. All 379 people aboard the JAL flight escaped before it w
