Map shows where 300 flood warnings are in place – is your area affected?
Hundreds of areas across the UK have been issued with flood warnings.
Oxford, Hampshire, Staffordshire and Suffolk are among the places impacted by severe regional flooding, according to a map showing alerts and warnings around the country.
There are 300 flood warnings are in place across the UK, with a further 332 areas being hit with flood alerts.
Storm Henk caused devastation earlier this week with a deluge of rain cutting streets and even towns off completely with bad flooding.
A major incident was declared amid widespread flooding in the Midlands on Thursday, while an elderly woman was killed after her car crashed into a fallen tree in Oxfordshire.
And just last night, 10 fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to east London after Smeed Road in Hackney Wick was swamped.
A live flood map, which can be viewed here, shows the UK areas issued with warnings.
It shows both amber and red flood warnings cover areas across across southeast and southwest England, eastern England and the Midlands.
Some parts of the north east are also impacted, with warnings reaching up to areas just south of Scarborough and just north of Harrogate.
Very few areas in the north west have been affected, but there are amber warnings in parts of the Lake District national park and near Chester and Crewe.
Red flood warnings are in place on the stretch from Gloucester up to Worcester and Kidderminster, near the border with Wales.
There are also red warnings near Nottingham, around Oxford and in Hampshire.
The highest amount of rainfall recorded yesterday was 35.2mm in Otterbourne, Hampshire.
Around 20-30mm was recorded across many areas in the southern counties of England.
And major disruption continues this morning in Oxfordshire with the A34 still closed after heavy flooding yesterday.
Other severe incidents saw some cows drown in the village of Sawley, Derbyshire, which has prompted an animal welfare investigation.
And in London a party boat which acts as a floating restaurant and night club ended up sinking in the River Thames because of the high water levels.
On Wednesday, a family was left terrified when the high winds of Storm Henk blew the hatch open on their London Eye pod.
Experts have said the impact of surface water and river flooding will continue to be ‘significant’ across parts of England.
Forecasters say downpours will continue on today and will impact part of southwest and eastern England as well as parts of Wales and Scotland.
Stefan Laeger, of the Environment Agency, said: ‘Significant surface water and river flooding impacts are possible across parts of the Midlands and the south and east of England on Thursday and Friday due to heavy localised rainfall falling on already very saturated catchments.
‘Ongoing minor impacts are also likely across much of England over the next five days as some larger rivers slowly respond to recent and forecast rain.’
