Soap legend makes TV comeback in beloved drama after quitting acting to become a chef
A SOAP legend is making her TV comeback in a popular drama after quitting acting to become a chef.
The actress is best known for playing Fi Browning in EastEnders, from 2017-2018, Victoria Merrick in Holby City, and Louise Hope in Brookside.
Lisa Faulkner appeared on BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef in 2010 and ended up winning the coveted title.
But after that in the beginning of 2018, the actress left EastEnders.
The soap star admitted that she got tired of getting ‘samey TV roles’ and decided to leave the acting industry to become a chef.
But now the 51-year-old is making a huge TV come back, in the beloved series, The Madame Blanc Mysteries – Fashion on Channel 5.
The detective series, which has been on air since 2021, features a star-studded cast including Sally Lindsay, Steve Edge, Sue Holderness, Robin Askwith, Alex Gaumond, Sue Vincent, and the legendary Paul Chuckle as Trevor.
In the new series, Lisa plays trend-setting designer Violet Oliver, who is releasing her brand-new Phoenician collection.
The overview of the episode reads: “Judith, buzzing with excitement, offers the grand Chateau as the backdrop for Violet and her husband Pascal’s fashion spectacle.
The runway comes alive with stunning models flaunting the latest designs, attracting the crème de la crème of the fashion universe. Violet emerges to thunderous applause, but an unexpected technical glitch plunges her into darkness, causing a shocking fall from the balcony.”
Against the odds, Violet survives the near-fatal plunge, but a jaw-dropping revelation follows. In a hushed conversation with Judith, Violet insists she was pushed. Judith, quick on her feet, turns to her confidante Jean, the queen of problem-solving.”

Soap legend, Les Dennis is also starring in the series.
