Journalist says Spurs have received an Eric Dier boost thanks to Radu Dragusin
Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Bayern Munich to the signature of Radu Dragusin, which means the German side are now looking for another defender. According to Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga outfit see Eric Dier as a top target.
Eric Dier looks destined to bring to an end his near-decade long stay at Tottenham this month. With his contract running out in the summer, it is only a matter of time before the 29-year-old moves on, one way or another.
Somewhat surprisingly, German giants Bayern Munich are hot on the trail of the England international and have reportedly already agreed personal terms with Dier (Football Insider).
Reports have suggested Tottenham would let Dier go for roughly £4.3m this month, with the player seemingly not having a place in Ange Postecoglou‘s plans (Sky Sports Deutschland).
Bayern likely to turn to Eric Dier
Now that Spurs have got the ‘Here we go’ announcement on the deal to sign Radu Dragusin, there will be even less need for Dier in the Lilywhites squad. And, with Bayern missing out on the Romanian, they will need to look elsewhere.
Florian Plettenberg has covered Bayern’s interest in Dier closely, and yesterday the journalist claimed the agreement was in place between the clubs and the player, but no official bid had been submitted.
Now, Plettenberg says Bayern have ramped up their interest in Dier: “Been told: After the failed hijack deal of Dragusin, Eric Dier now one of the top favourites for FC Bayern. Verbal agreement is done. Transfer fee: Around €4m. Contract: 2025 + 1. Not a done deal yet.”

The next 24-48 hours could feasibly see us beat Bayern Munich to the signing of one of our top targets, and see us sell a fringe player we don’t want to the German side, too. What a turn of events that would be.
