House Dem at Hunter Biden hearing blasts hypocrisy of GOP reps who defied Jan. 6 subpoenas
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) had some sharp words for his Republican colleagues who want to hold Hunter Biden in contempt for not complying with congressional subpoenas.
Although Biden has agreed to testify before Congress, he has said that he wants to do so publicly to prevent misleading excerpts of his testimony being leaked.
Republicans, however, have continued to insist on closed-door testimony, and Biden's refusal to accept this demand has led them to push a vote to hold him in criminal contempt of Congress.

But as Moskowitz pointed out, Biden has still offered more cooperation with congressional subpoenas than many House Republicans, who in 2022 blew off subpoenas issued by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riots.
"Here is the subpoena to Scott Perry, who didn't comply," Moskowitz said while holding up the congressional subpoena. "Here is the subpoena for Mark Meadows... he did not comply. Here is the subpoena to Jim Jordan, who did not comply."
He then showed subpoenas for former GOP Reps. Mo Brooks (R-AL), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
The Florida Democrat finished off his speech by saying he'd vote to hold Hunter Biden in contempt if the same was done for every Republican he listed.
