Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice takes swipe at Amanda Abbington row as he concentrates on keeping positive
STRICTLY’S Giovanni Pernice is keeping his chin-up amid complaints from his former dance partner, Amanda Abbington.
The professional dancer looks to be celebrating a personal milestone as he praised the recent launch of his fragrance: “Vita by Giovanni Pernice.”
He alluded to staying positive after facing criticism from his ex-strictly partner and actress, Amanda.
Giovanni made the swipe at Amanda alongside an image of him locked in an embrace with a brunette model, where the pair looked to be about to kiss.
He wrote in the caption: “My aim in launching VITA was to create products to inspire and bring joy to life, and to explore another creative outlet for my passions.
“My fragrance VITA (Italian for life) is just that, a celebration of life. Of positivity when there is obviously so much around us which can be a cause for the opposite.
“We are starting this journey with high hopes and ambitions, and with many more products in the pipeline.”
He signed off the post by quipping: “I hope you enjoy VITA as much as I loved creating it, as this image from our launch photoshoot shows!”
Fans of the star rallied in the comments to share their support, with one stating: “Wearing it right now, I love it. Always find the positive.”
A second penned: “Don’t let the media get to you Gio your brilliant at what you do.”
Another added: :Head held high don’t let them knock you down x.”
It comes after The Sun revealed that Amanda Abbington, 51, demanded for footage of her rehearsals with partner Giovanni, following on from clashes between the pair.
One fan pointed out on Reddit that they thought there was a “divide” with him and his dance partners.
The user wrote: “I thought it was telling that Georgia, Laura, and Ranvir all commented supportively on Amanda’s leaving post.”
His former dance partner, GMB’s Ranvir Singh, also complained about the star, while former Steps singer Faye Tozer is understood to have clashed with him.
Giovanni’s 2016 partner Laura Whitmore has also previously claimed that her time with him reduced her to tears.
