‘There is no such uncertainty as a sure thing’ once said Robert Burns however Queen’s Park reckon that their Hospitality Offering when Ayr United come calling on Saturday, January 27 will be a hit.
Scotland’s oldest club are looking to join in the celebrations of the National Bard when the team, whom derive their nick-name from one of his pieces of work visit, with a special Burns Day themed event.
As well as the usual high-quality line-up our Hospitality, ahead of what will be new Head Coach Callum Davidson’s first home game in charge, will feature a Scottish themed menu as well as FREE whisky tasting from our friends at Glenallachie Distillery who are based in Aberlour.
Our Hospitality Day with a Burns twist kicks-off at 12.15pm with a tour of The city Stadium with our guests then moving, quicker than Meg, to the Black and White Hospitality Lounge in the JB McAlpine Building when it opens shortly afterwards.
Guests will be served with an Award-Winning Scottish themed Meal and toast Burns with a complimentary drinks package with Club Host Dave Mac ensuring that there are no quiet moments as he tests the knowledge a former Queen’s Park player of Burns’ work in a Question-and-Answer session before testing the guests knowledge in a one-off Quiz.
The game will start at 3.00pm and shortly before this our guests will be escorted on the short walk to the South Stand in The National Stadium at Hampden where they will watch Queen’s Park take on the Honest Men in padded seating.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of sightings of a haunted church with witches and warlocks dancing or the sounds of the Devil playing the bagpipes on the walk.
When the first half has ended an exclusive lounge at The National Stadium will be open to our guests to enjoy traditional football fayre and hot drinks.
After the final whistle has been blown the Black and White Lounge will re-open for our Hospitality Guests where interviews and post- match presentations will take place where hopefully ‘O wad some Power the giftie gie us To see oursels as ithers see us!’ will be the watch-word.
