Military spouses shouldn’t get state employment preference | READER COMMENTARY
I strongly disagree with Gov. Wes Moore’s proposal to add points to the scores of military spouses in the process of state employment hiring and promotional practices (“Maryland Gov. Wes Moore’s 2024 legislative priorities expected to include military families, housing, public safety,” Jan. 8).
What is the rationale? This would set in place a system that is unfair to regular citizens. This is a very bad idea.
