Club’s Link With Tottenham Hotspur Winger Dismissed

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is not a target for Fiorentina in the ongoing winter transfer window, despite claims to the contrary.

 

Gil has been a bit part player at Tottenham this season and has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs this month.

 

The Spaniard has been sparingly used by Ange Postecoglou and is keen to play more minutes in the second half of the season.

 

 

 

Fiorentina have been linked with an interest in signing the winger on loan but it seems they are moving for other players.

 

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Gil is not an option Fiorentina are considering at this stage of the window.

 

 

They are progressing with their attempts to sign Ruben Vargas and are in talks with Augsburg over doing a deal worth €7m.

 

It seems unlikely that they will be making a move to land Gil from Tottenham in the coming days or weeks.

 

 

Spurs would also prefer to sell the Spaniard rather than agree another deal to loan him out this month.
