Billionaire-owned club ready to buy Man United star this month, deal could 3x his current wages - report
Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr are prepared to bid for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka before the end of the January transfer window, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Englishman has been regularly linked with an exit in recent months, but he had the 12-month extension deal in his current contract triggered and his contract runs until next year.
However, Wan-Bissaka, who Inter Milan are reportedly willing to sign in exchange for Denzel Dumfries, could be on his way to Saudi in a deal likely to at least triple the £90,000 he currently earns per week at Man United.
The billionaire-owned Al-Nassr pay Cristiano Ronaldo £3.4 million per week, while Sadio Mane earns £650,000-a-week.
With the likes of Aymeric Laporte earning £400,000 per week, Wan-Bissaka could be making up to £300,000 per week at the Saudi club, and such a move could prove too tempting to turn down for the former Crystal Palace star.
Al-Nassr saw Tottenham Hotspur knock back their £20m bid for Emerson Royal, and it remains to be seen if they plan to bid more for the Man United full-back.
The Red Devils paid £45m up front in a £50m deal for Wan-Bissaka in 2019 but are unlikely to get up to that from the Saudis, and they could be forced to do business this month when they have a chance to get something worthwhile from his sale.
The 26-year-old has featured in 17 games across all competitions this season and weighed in with two assists, and triggering his contract extension option was largely to protect his value.
Man United need to start selling players to balance the books and remain compliant with Financial Fair Play (FFP) policies, so cashing in on Wan-Bissaka when they still can represents a good piece of business as they look to kickstart a major squad overhaul ahead of the summer transfer window.
