Russian millionaire and ailing wife among victims in Badakhshan plane crash
Three days after a Falcon 10 plane crashed in Badakhshan Province’s Kohab District, more details about the victims have come to light. Russian media reports reveal that a Russian millionaire and his sick wife were among those who lost their lives in the accident.
In the plane crash that occurred on Saturday, January 20th, a wealthy couple lost their lives, and four others who were injured were transported to Kabul for medical treatment by local authorities of the Taliban administration.
Confirmed details indicate that this Falcon 10 aircraft was chartered to transport Anatoliy Osyukov, a millionaire businessman, and his wife, Anna Osyukova, from Thailand to Russia.
The Falcon 10 aircraft is owned by a private company, which, according to The Guardian’s report, has not yet commented on the plane crash.
RadarBox, which tracked the aircraft’s final route, has stated that the Falcon 10 was being used as an air ambulance and had been in service for 46 years.
Russian media has described Anatoliy Osyukov, one of the crash victims, as a “millionaire businessman” who transitioned from photography to becoming a millionaire trader and is known as the “Sultan of the Volgograd Markets.”
Anna Osyukova, Anatoliy’s wife, reportedly fell ill during her vacation in Thailand, prompting the chartering of this 46-year-old aircraft for her transportation.
