‘You should have left some for other people,’ yellow sticker fan slated for clearing meat shelves to feed his DOG

A SHOPPER has been brutally slated after confessing he cleared the shelves filled with meat to feed his four-legged friend.

The delighted shopper took to Facebook to proudly show off his monster haul with several cuts of meat he’d bagged with impressive savings.

Facebook/ Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls

According to the man, who posted the snap of the purchase on Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls page, he’d spotted plastic packages of meat covered in yellow stickers – and made sure to make the most out the deal.

In total, the bargain lover bagged a whopping 20 meats, including pork belly, as well as mince and steak that had been slashed in price.

The overall bill for the meats should’ve come to ”around £70”, he revealed in the post, however, the yellow stickers brought it down to £20.

”My barging hunting done for the day.

”Me and dog sorted nicely for a bit,” the lucky shopper went on to add in the caption.

However, whilst the Facebook user may have been all chuffed with the massive haul and the successful trip to the supermarket, fellow yellow sticker hunters soon raced to comments to slam the pet owner.

One wrote: ”Wowcher, so jealous!

”You should have left some for other people who would have taken the lot too.”

Someone else cried: ”Didn’t leave any for anyone else… cleared the whole shelf.”

A fellow Morrisons fan hit back at the foodie, writing: ”How dare you?”

Luckily, for the most part the response seemed to be positive, as dozens flocked to show support.

”It seems people are triggered by people doing what the page is for,” thought one member of the group.

”Why be on it lol. It’s called Yellow stickers, bargains and hauls – this photo fits all three.

”It would be thrown away if not sold. There are six of us , so heck yeah I’d have got the lot too. I spent almost £170 a week shopping. Good for them.”

”That’s a good shop. These days every little helps,” someone else chimed in.

”Happy tummies for while,” another penned.

After taking the platform by storm, the foodie also shared his top tips for scoring the best bargains – and the exact time to hit the stores.

Replying to a ”struggling student”, the shopper said: ”The best time really I found are like on a Sunday around half 2-3 where most place like, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and my favourite Morrison’s shut at 4 and like to get rid of all products around then.. but it’s never guaranteed.

”First come first get.”

Other ways to save money on your shopping

As well as keeping your eyes peeled for yellow stickers, there are other ways you can slash the bill by the till.

Previously we mentioned Too Good to Go – an app that allows you to rescue food from a number of popular cafes, restaurants, shops and supermarkets that would otherwise go in the bin at the end of the day.

To start saving and enjoying delicious meals on the cheap, you will need to download the app and set your location – once done, start choosing from nearby stores listing their unsold food at a reduced price.

Similarly to Too Good To Go, you can also search for nearby food to pick up based on your location through the Karma app.

However, unlike Too Good To Go, Karma will tell you what goodies you can expect.

There is also a little-known shop worth checking out that offers big brand names at discounted prices.

One Beyond is an independent discounter that launched in 2019 and is just about to open its 100th UK store.
