A ROYAL Land Rover from the Queen’s Sandringham Estate is up for auction at a wildly low price – with only 670 miles.
The rare 2008 Defender 90 TDCi has been the late Queen’s staple motor during her loyal service.
The Royal country station wagon has been the late Queen’s favourite and it has spent its first year on the Sandringham Estate.
The incredible car covered minimal mileage while there with its first service completed showing only 679 miles.
After the current owner purchased the vehicle, it has done over 40,000 miles in the past 14 years.
Car experts at Iconic Auctioneers of Ashorne, Warks expect the vehicle to go under the hammer for £35,000.
A spokesperson said: “This superbly presented Defender 90 was originally part of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved Sandringham Estate and, latterly, fastidiously cared for by its second owner.
“When it returned to Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations at Gaydon in 2010.
“It was subsequently sold to its second owner who naturally was aware of its past life at Sandringham.”
The 2008 Land Rover Defender 90 TDCi country station wagon spent 18 months on the 20,000 acre Norfolk country retreat.
During its Royal service the late monarch clocked up 679 miles around the lavish grounds of the estate purchased by Edward VII in 1862.
In 2010, the vehicle was returned to Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations at Gaydon, Warks.
It was purchased by the current owner who has done over 40,000 miles in the past 14 years.
The classic model was initially launched in 1948 and has been popular among drivers for more than six decades.
It boasts a Galway Green paintwork with a black cloth interior.
The Defender was fitted with an all-new 2.4-litre, five-cylinder in-line turbo/diesel engine – with a five-speed manual transmission.

A lucky motorist can snap up the rare Royal vehicle from Iconic Auctioneers on February 24.
It comes as another Range Rover once owned by Queen Elizabeth II was up for sale at an auction.
The 19-year-old motor, the third generation of its kind built by Land Rover, is expected to sell for a whopping ten times its normal value simply because of its royal connection.
