Get set for an exhilarating March with Malahide Yacht Club’s Oppie Race Coaching! Calling all young sailors and aspiring racers: it’s time to elevate your racing skills with our Regatta Fleet Warmup, designed to give you that competitive edge.
Led by the Pros:
Our own Tara Berry, an experienced Optimist racer and esteemed MYC coach, will be at the helm, steering you through the nuances of race day prep and strategy. With her guidance, you’ll not only navigate the course but learn how to outmanoeuvre and outpace the competition.
A Trio of Saturdays for Top-Notch Training:
2nd, 9th, & 16th March: Three Saturdays dedicated to honing your racing prowess.
– 12:00 pm: Kick off with ‘Arrive and Rig’ to ensure your vessel is seaworthy.
– 12:20 pm: Dive into ‘Pre-race Coaching’ to discuss tactics and conditions.
– 1:20 pm: A brief interlude with biscuits and hot chocolates to recharge.
– 2:50 pm: Experience two club races under the watchful eye of your coach.
– 4:00 pm: Debrief and finish, armed with new knowledge and a sailor’s grin.
