LOVE Island star AJ Bunker is setting up her own hair extension academy after being snubbed from the All Stars series.

AJ, 31, who first appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2021, has excitedly revealed her plans to launch the business next month.

The lightweight boxer told The Sun how she’s putting the final touches on Sweet Rebellion, a brand new project with her best pal.

She said, “I’ve always continued doing hair extensions. I had to take a little bit of step back when I first came out [of Love Island] because it was just so busy. So I still do hair extensions.

“If any girls out there are looking for extensions, Sweet Rebellion is the place to go. But my friend Ella Doons, me and her are going to be joining forces and setting up an academy.

“I think my first training session, we’re aiming to get things rolling and out there by maybe the end of March.

“So yeah, keep a lookout, and girls, honestly, it’s the best. If you’re looking to do a job that means your own hours, creative, working with other females, honestly, it’s the best, I love it and it’s just a big transformation.”

AJ also told us she was contacted by by All Stars producers ahead of the series debut last month.

And despite securing a Zoom meeting with bookers, she didn’t make it through to the further stage and was notified that she wouldn’t be progressed late last year.

AJ sees the rejection as a blessing, though, since it allowed for her to pursue her budding boxing career.

She explained, “When they started the audition process and were looking for people, they did reach out to me.

“And then there was just that process of, ‘You’ll hear back,’ but I think just because there were so many people that were interested in going back in, I got the e-mail being like, ‘Oh, there’s just too many people interested.’

“But, to be honest, it actually worked perfectly because I was co-main event for my fight and the time people were going in was the time when my fight was happening.”

AJ went up against OnlyFans star Elle Brooke, 26, in their rematch last month, having first collided in the summer of 2022 when Elle won a points decision.

The Hertfordshire-native lost the January fight when Elle stopped her with a brutal right hand in the third round.
