The BJP launched a harsh criticism against Mamata Banerjee, accusing the West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader of condoning sexual assaults by her party workers. Referring to allegations by a group of women in Sandeshkhali against Trinamool Congress leader Shajahan Sheikh, Union Minister Smriti Irani claimed that Banerjee is compromising the dignity of vulnerable communities.
