Montgomery County releases rabies clinic schedule
FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Montgomery County Public Health Department is hosting seven rabies vaccination clinics this year. The Public Health Law requires all dogs, cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated against rabies.
Dogs, cats, and ferrets should receive their initial vaccination at three months of age. The second vaccination should be one year after the initial vaccine. From there, pets should get vaccinated every three years.
Below is the list of available vaccination clinics. Every clinic will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. There is a suggested donation of $10 for free clinics.

- Vaccine clinic is free of charge to Montgomery County residents
- April 6: Palatine Town Barn, 817 Stone Arabia Road, Fort Plain, NY, 13339
- Veterinarian administration fee of $10 per vaccination
- June 8: Canajoharie Fire Fighters Garage, 39 Mohawk Street, Canajoharie, NY, 13317
- Vaccine clinic is free of charge to Montgomery County residents
- August 3: Rural Grove Fire Department, 1192 Route 162, Sprakers, NY, 12166
- Veterinarian administration fee of $10 per vaccination
- September 14: St. Johnsville Town Barn, 7431 Route 5, St. Johnsville, NY, 13452
- Veterinarian administration fee of $10 per vaccination
- October 5: Florida Town Highway Department, 167 Fort Hunter Road, Amsterdam, NY, 12010
- Vaccine clinic is free of charge to Montgomery County residents
- November 2: Town of Mohawk Barn, 2-4 Park Street Fonda, NY, 12068
- Veterinarian administration fee of $10 per vaccination
