I thought I’d found a cute knitted beanie but it had the saddest detail inside – I still love it but it makes me cry
A SECOND-HAND shopper was left in tears when she discovered who previously owned her new item.
While she thought she was simply picking up a cute beanie, she realized it had a more emotional meaning to it.
Anna Frank (@annafrank02) claims in her TikTok bio that she is “just here to enjoy the little things of life,” and her latest shopping excursion was exactly that.
“This must be the SADDEST thrift find,” she began in the clip.
Sitting in her car, she couldn’t even wait to get home to reveal what she noticed after making the purchase.
She held her hand over her mouth in awe before revealing a sad pout to express her emotion.
“Cute little knitted beanie, I thought,” she began.
The beanie was knitted with blue, grey, white, and pink yarn to give it a subtle, soft feeling.
While it looked standard from the outside, when she turned it inside out, she proved it was more meaningful than one would think.
“Had a look inside and found this.”
There was a tag that featured two little bears, alongside the words: “With love and kisses, from Granny.”
She held back tears as she learned this hat was made by a grandmother who gifted it to her beloved grandchild, who then gave it away to a thrift store.
“Thanks Granny. Anyways, I love it,” she said, noting that it was now hers.
One viewer couldn’t believe the piece was up for grabs: “Even if I don’t like something my grandma makes me, I’d NEVER donate it. ARE YOU KIDDING?”
Anna agreed, responding: “Yes, exactly!”
