Report: European giants expect ‘good offers’ to arrive for Spurs target

According to The Athletic, Barcelona expects several offers to be tabled for Tottenham target Raphinha at the end of the season.

It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Raphinha’s time at Barcelona could come to an end in the summer after the winger fell down the pecking order at the club.

This was first reported at the start of this month by Relovo, who suggested that Spurs are one of the clubs who are keeping an eye on the Brazilian’s situation, with the Lilywhites alleged to have even reached out to the player’s representatives over a summer move.

Since then, the likes of HITC and Sport have also backed up Tottenham’s interest in the former Leeds star, but they suggested that Ange Postecoglou’s men will face competition from several of their Premier League rivals including Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham.

Barcelona expect bids for Spurs-linked Raphinha

The Athletic now point out that Barca need to raise some funds this summer and explain that selling Raphinha is seen as one of the ‘most feasible’ options for the Catalan side.

It is asserted that as things stand, the La Liga giants are leaning towards cashing in on the attacker, who is said to be attracting plenty of interest.

The publication adds that Barca expect ‘good offers’ to arrive for the winger from the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League in the summer.

If Raphinha is put on the shop window, which appears likely to be the case, one would expect Tottenham to get involved in the race for the Brazilian.

Given our failed move for Antonio Nusa, we know that Postecoglou wants to add another skilful dribbler to his squad and the Barca star would fit the bill.
