Report: What is New York's favorite card game?
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- There aren't many more universal pastimes as common as playing cards. Stuck inside on a rainy day? Play cards. Need an icebreaker activity? Play cards. Don't know what to do with a group of people? Play cards.
Playing cards are universal, and there are a million and one ways to use them. Games as simple as Go Fish, to complicated ones that always need a rule refresher, like Euchre, can always get a group of people involved.
You can wager on cards, you can throw cards, you can play drinking games with cards. With a million and one ways to enjoy cards, and even more games to play using them, the question becomes what card games are the favorite from state to state.
Casinos.com ran the numbers, going based on Google Trends, and found what card game, or what activity with cards, was the favorite from state to state. A whopping 19 states have poker at the top. Poker, in this case from Casino.com, ranges from Texas Hold'em, Omaha, or seven-card stud.
As far as New York goes, the report found "blackjack" was the most popular card game or activity in the state.
