Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the State Cancer Institute, Guwahati, and the Renovated Blood Centre at GMCH. The SCI has facilities like OTs, BMT, Cath Lab, ICUs, HDUs, MRI, CT, Mammography, Digital X-ray, Endoscopy, Laboratory, Blood Bank, CSSD. The government aims to make Assam a hub for advanced medical facilities.
