Man shot in his car, house hit by gunfire in NE Portland: PPB
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- An occupied car and a nearby house were hit with multiple rounds of gunfire in Northeast Portland, leaving one man hospitalized Friday afternoon.
Just before noon, officers responded to a report of gunfire near Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Dekum Street. On arrival, they found a man in his car who had been shot in the leg.
The car and a nearby house had also been hit numerous times by gunfire, officials say.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities say.
PPB's Enhanced Community Safety Team is currently investigating and no arrests have been made, authorities say. But according to PPB, current evidence suggest dozens of rounds were fired in this incident.
No other information has been released at this time.
