Oscar predictions: Best scores by our Editors and Users
Congratulations to our User orphan tears for a perfect score of 100% when predicting the 2024 Oscar winners on Sunday. Our top scorer is actually tied with one other person at that percentage but has a better point score of 10,725.
More than 11,000 people worldwide predicted these Academy Awards champs with our top scorer getting all 23 categories correct. Some of the difficult choices by our top scorer at the Hollywood ceremony hosted by Jimmy Kimmel included “Poor Things” claiming Best Actress (Emma Stone), Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling; “The Last Repair Shop” taking Best Documentary Short; and “The Boy and the Heron” prevailing as Best Animated Feature. They also picked “Oppenheimer” for Best Picture and Best Director (Christopher Nolan).

For our 12 Gold Derby Editors predicting, Denton Davidson, Marcus James Dixon and Rob Licuria are best at 82.61% (19 of 23 categories correct). Charles Bright, Matt Noble, Ray Richmond and Christopher Rosen are next at 78.26%. Chris Beachum, Joyce Eng and Paul Sheehan are tied at 73.91%. And Tom O’Neil and I are tied at 69.57%.
