Amazon Fire TV Stick owners can unlock 300 live channels for free with app – and over 50,000 movies and TV shows
MILLIONS of Amazon Fire TV Stick owners might be missing out on hundreds of free live channels.
Streaming services are getting costlier as subscription prices soar – but there are plenty of apps that serve up no-cost television.
Plex is one of those apps, letting you watch free TV in exchange for you viewing ads.
According to Plex, you can enjoy over 600 live TV channels.
And the service promises more than 50,000 “on-demand” movies and TV shows too.
The Plex app is available to download directly through the Amazon app store, and costs nothing to install or enjoy.
If you didn’t realize that Plex offered free TV, that’s no huge surprise.
Plex began life as a way to set up your own “media servers” – letting you stream your own video files to a TV or computer, like a personal Netflix.
But in 2019, Plex began offering free TV channels and on-demand content.
The app has a 4/5 score on Amazon based on more than 210,000 customer reviews.
And 59% of those reviews featured a five-star score, while another 13% gave four stars.
One Fire TV fan who gave a five-star review wrote: “Amazing app for all supported devices. I wouldn’t be able to live without this app on all my devices.”
