Man pleads guilty to manslaughter in 2021 murder case
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Nicholas Anderson, 30, of Albany, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree. According to the indictment, Anderson caused the death of Rashad Nicholson on July 24, 2021.
Anderson was also accused of having an illegal, loaded firearm on the same date. Nicholson faces 12 to 15 years in state prison. The sentence will run concurrently with a prison term he is already serving for another case.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 7. The plea fulfills the indictment, which included charges of murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
