A CAT mom has revealed three tricks to prevent her home from smelling like a litter box.
More than just eliminating odor, she says she always gets compliments from guests visiting her home.
Sophia (@ssooophhia) shared the cleaning tips in a TikTok video.
“Probably my favorite compliment to get is when people walk into my apartment and are like, ‘Oh my gosh, it smells so good in here!” she said.
“As a cat mom, I’m always worried about the litter box smell so I’m going to share three things I do to keep my apartment smelling good.”
On top of scooping her litter box every day so smells don’t marinate, she used an odor eliminator that removed any leftover scents.
She revealed she targeted the smell with the $12 Rocco & Roxie Litter Box Odor Eliminator that she added directly to the litter box.
“You just sprinkle a little bit of this into the litter box after you’ve cleaned and mix it around. It works so well,” she said.
As a seasoned pet owner, she added that Rocco & Roxie’s odor eliminator smoked the competition out of the water.
“I’ve tried so many of these kinds of scent beads and these are by far the best,” she said.
“It has a minty fresh smell.”
Her second trick was $20 diffuser oils, which allowed warm fragrances to waft throughout her home.
“My favorite diffuser oils are from Joocier. I love the Leatherhead and also the Cherub,” she said.
“They’re both beautiful scents but what I love the most is how long they last and how they spread through the apartment.”
When she doesn’t have her diffuser running, she opts for reed diffusers.
“My favorites are from Nest. I really love them because every time someone comes over and they’re sitting near one, they mention how good it smells,” she said.
“I also like that I can just set them out and I don’t have to worry about them.”
