Mother and teens allegedly kidnapped while at men's clothing store

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Arrest warrants were issued Monday after an alleged kidnapping and robbery involving a mother, two teen boys, and two workers at a men's clothing store in Oklahoma City.

KFOR confronted one of the workers an arrest warrant was issued and he was told to leave.

It stems from an event on December 13th when a mother, her 13-year-old son, and his 14-year-old friend decided to buy some shoes at Trendsetters.

The store is located inside Penn Square Mall and sells clothes, shoes, and more.

The mother had bought a pair of shoes costing around $350.

Documents allege one of the boys then accidentally broke the basketball goal setup that the store has in the middle of its store.

The mother offered to help repair the basketball goal and found a part allegedly online for $100. However the two workers at the time Briaunna Wright (daughter of the owner Barry Wright) and Darreon Davis were alleged to have said that wasn't enough.

Documents said that Davis wanted her to pay more than $600 for the goal, and she refused but offered to leave her name and number.

The situation seemed to escalate from there with Wright and Davis allegedly blocking the door, refusing to let all three leave.

Davis then demanded that the mother leave the shoes she had purchased, documents said that the woman refused.

That's when Davis allegedly walked toward one of the boys who had the shoes, wrapped his arms around the boy, and then pushed the mother to the ground.

Eventually, officials reported that Davis was able to get the shoes from them. After the victim felt trapped and not free to go the door remained locked.

She called 911 and the police showed up, the owner Barry Wright told Oklahoma City Police that they would refund the $350 spent on the shoes taken back.

However, the affidavit alleged that none of the $350 had been paid as of its release in March.

"Kidnapping? Robbery? They broke our stuff," that is all that Wright said to KFOR at Trendsetters when asked for her side of the story.

Another worker who didn't tell us his name told KFOR to get out, cussing and eventually saying, "Get out now before I pop your a$#."

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for both Wright and Davis. Davis faces three kidnapping charges and one charge of robbery. If arrested his bond would be set for $150,000.

Wright faces just three charges of kidnapping and if arrested her bond would be $50,000.

When asked for the owner Barry or his phone number, KFOR was told no.
