Wilton Mall Cinemas opens for first time in four years
WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A local movie theater has reopened four years after it was shut down. The first showing at Wilton Mall Cinemas took place at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
It originally opened in 2013 and has been closed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The owner of the cinema company that's operating the theater already has big plans for the future.
"I want to put a stage in one of the theaters and do comedy shows, open mic nights, community meetings, etc.," Scene One Entertainment Owner Joe Masher said.
Masher also plans to install a beer garden between the theater and the food court. The theater will hire two full-time employees and 25 part-time workers.
